Equistar, a blockchain-based horse racing game developed by Estar Games, needed a frontend overhaul to meet the expectations of today’s Web3 players. We stepped in to rebuild the entire interface, bringing modern UX, real-time interactions, and a frictionless experience to the game.
The Brief
Estar Games wanted to level up their Play-to-Earn experience. The original UI didn’t reflect the quality of the game mechanics underneath, and users struggled with an outdated, clunky interface. Our goal: build a new, intuitive frontend that could support real-time updates and feel as smooth as any modern game dashboard.
What we delivered
We rebuilt Equistar’s frontend from scratch using React, TypeScript, and Material UI, staying true to the provided design system while ensuring performance and maintainability.
To make the experience dynamic and live, we implemented WebSocket-based communication, allowing players to see game events and data updates in real time—without needing to refresh or click through slow loaders.
Impact
The result is a clean, responsive, and Web3-native frontend that feels right at home on MultiversX. The new version boosted player retention, enhanced gameplay responsiveness, and gave Equistar a fresh foundation to expand further.
